after 13 months with no periods I had a sudden bleed for four days. I spoke with the dr and they sent me for a us transvaginal scan.
the scan showed a small cystic area, part anechoic fluid,!part low levels echoes. Appearances may represent a right dermis cyst or a haemorrhagic cyst. Other pathology also cannot be confidently excluded. Suggest further investigations. No obvious decal fluid noted.
when the local dr called me he said he doesn’t feel there is any issue. When I said about the further investigations he said no he has no concerns. At which I then pushed to get him to give me a referral to a gynaecologist which he reluctantly did.
I understand that cysts can just lie there dormant and you can live happily with them, but it’d be nice to confirm it’s definitely a cyst… or am I being a drama queen??
