Anyone know what this is?

Nothing is around my ear I can’t feel any lymph nodes swollen behind ear and I have looked the area I can’t see or anything in the mastoid area - this seems to be in the ‘crease’ or fold in the ear? I don’t know what this area is called but it’s inflamed , alittle sore and I can feel a bump were the redness is right in the crease. I have put a photo for comparison of my normal side and the other is the area of concern.
Of course I’m going to make an appointment with gp 👍🏻

Any ideas?

Do you wear glasses? Could it be where the frame has rubbed?

@333FionaG i don’t wear glasses everyday - I mean sunglasses sometimes?- but not recently really

i was worried about lymph nodes etc but when I looked online they are located behind the ear not in or near the fold behind your ear? So I’m not sure

I think it will just be a spot... I would try putting a warm compress on it and waiting a few days before calling the gp.

@lostinchaos ok yeah could be a spot? I was just worried it could be a lymph node or something but I don’t think they are located in that area in the crease of the fold
