Shingles

I've been diagnosed with shingles and started antivirals on Monday. The rash is now spreading - was on shoulder blade and has moved across my chest. It was on the left but has also now crossed the midline. I have phoned 111 who have made a referral to my GP. I've only just been there this morning and the rash has expanded since then. I feel ok in myself but fatigued. Should I go to Walk In or A and E? Has anyone experienced this?

I don't think you need do anything especially if you saw your GP this morning. They normally give antivirals, which is what you have so I think it's a case of resting as much as you can. Hope you feel better soon.

It is unusual for this to happen to cross the midline, have you got a weakened immune system?
