Normal to feel this bad after procedure

Hi

I had radiofrequency yesterday all through a massive vein in my leg (I can't remember the name of it) it went from my groin down. They made the cut on the side of my knee I believe .

This was because I have/had venous insufficiency. I had no other treatment on any varicose veins etc as this was done via the NHS.

Basically, I am shocked at how bad I feel today. I am hot then cold, I have a headache and am neasuous to the pit of my stomach and my leg is quite swollen but I think that's to be expected.

I am in compression stockings as advised and need them on for 48 hours straight then I can take them off to shower so I haven't actually looked at my leg, yet.

Is this normal? I did NOT expect to feel this bad. All I want to do is lie flat.

Maybe I have a virus? Because this feels like the start of flu!

Does anyone have any experience of this that they'd be willing to share?

I think you need to call the ward you were on immediately and explain your symptoms. Did they give you any discharge paperwork with the ward/department telephone number?
