How do you request to change the hospital you’re under (Respiratory)

I’d like to request to be under a different hospital, do I go through my GP? I have bronchiectasis, and I’m thinking of a specialist hospital in London. If I do change, does anyone know what would happen if I needed urgent care, e.g admission to hospital (though this is unlikely at present), would I be admitted locally?

You can ask your GP to refer you to the specialist centre. They may have referral criteria or may require to to be referred by your local specialist.
You can always so resent as an emergency to your local centre. You would be advised to carry your notes / letters in a folder if you transfer care to another hospital.
