Hi, I had a neck and thyroid US which showed the following:
Bilobar thyroid cystic nodules (U2 classification).
Slightly hypoechoic cystic nodule extending from spinous towards the
left lower lobe (most likely U2 classification).
I’ve only had a post scan consult with a nurse practitioner and she said just to repeat the US annually to monitor. However having googled researched I can see that maybe the hypoechoic nodule might not be great and I wonder if it may need more regular monitoring/other options. Should I ask for a second opinion?
