I had a nasty cough and cold which started about 5 weeks ago; first one I’ve had in years (which may be relevant) I felt really rough but only for about ten days, at which point the cough subsided and I got over the fever/body aches/sneezes/sore throat etc.
It’s now another 3.5 weeks on and I still feel really under the weather with extreme fatigue, sudden temp spikes and headaches; I get woolly legs after even just moderate walking around and feel vacant and unable to concentrate. I only had a couple of days off work when the cough was at its worst but am now still finding it very hard to get any sort of pace/focus going. I am working from home but even a Teams meeting wipes me out and I feel like I need to rest afterwards
Is this a standard post-viral thing or should I be worried? It just doesn’t seem to be getting any better
For context - I’m 56, have always been quite healthy (a bit overweight but quite fit), take vitamin supplements and normally eat quite well. Would love to hear any thoughts on what may help!
