Sounds like it could be thrush or a sweat rash.

Use the cream on both areas. Don't shave, see the nurse. Shaving can cause infections.

justasking111 · 08/10/2025 22:46

Waxing too according to my hair dresser.

Shoemadlady · 08/10/2025 22:46

Could be a fungal infection?

Thelonelydonkey · 08/10/2025 22:49

Rashes in sweaty skin folds = thrush until proven otherwise. I would suggest buying some anti fungal cream from a pharmacy whilst awaiting your GP appointment.

AutumnedCrow · 08/10/2025 22:49

It looks like intertrigo, as a pp suggested, probably with a fungal infection that will need treating for a few weeks. You could start this process yourself with an OTC thrush cream while you’re waiting for your appointment (it won’t do any harm) - apply the cream to the affected areas, with a pessary and tablet if you don’t mind paying for them.

Canestan is the well-known brand but there are many cheaper options available at pharmacy counters.

The active ingredient in the cream is called Clomtrimazole.

Good luck 🤞

CrispsPlease · 08/10/2025 22:51

It's thrush my darling. Canesten! (Both areas) It's common and will clear up nicely with proper usage of canesten.

Sparkleandshiney · 08/10/2025 23:00

Ask your GP to check for hidradenitis

Timeforacuppanow · 08/10/2025 23:06

It could be lichen sclerosus. I have it and it does look similar. I first found it on the underside of my boob but when I saw a consultant it was also found on my vulva. It doesn’t itch or anything. There’s no cure though ☹️

maras2 · 09/10/2025 00:36

Interigo.
I use Daktarin but any anti fungal should do. Don't shave.

MoonDanceDiner · 09/10/2025 08:45

There is a condition called Acanthosis Nigricans which can be caused be hormonal issues or thryoid problems (my sister had something similar).
