Creatine - dehydrated even though I drink more?

Started taking creatine 8 days ago. Only on 1.5g a day so I could ease it into it.

I drink at least 2 more glasses a day and I've not even been doing much exercise.

I feel extremely dehydrated, thirsty all the time, dry mouth etc.

Any thoughts? Will it settle down?

‘Clinical research does not validate the notion that creatinine supplementation causes dehydration..’

Drinking too much fluid however, can cause you to feel more thirsty. Dr explaining why here.

Thank you, very helpful. I saw a lot of forum posts about dehydration so this will teach me to do a bit more research.

I stopped taking creatine for a couple of days and definitely feel less thirsty (I generally was only drinking more when I felt thirsty rather than pre-empting) so it's a strange one.
