How to dress a boil on your nether regions

I have a boil on the inside cheeks of my bottom. I put some magnesium sulphate on it yesterday and I think the pus has now come out. Problem is I can’t dress it. Hard to explain exactly where it is but I think it’s getting wet when I wee - it is v far inside my cheeks if that makes sense.

is it ok to leave it without anything on it? I can’t think what would work in such a moist area

I would leave it and just make sure you keep it as dry as you can. My experience is that once you use the magnesium sulphate it heals quickly. Maybe use the magnesium sulfate at night before bed to get the maximum effect.

Thanks, I’ll do that. Of all the bleeding places to get one! I haven’t been able to sit properly for days so I’m relieved it’s popped!

Joking aside, you don’t want this to become a sinus which could end up requiring surgery so please get it looked at by a doctor. I hope it heals quickly and that you are comfortable soon. Awful place to have one.

Thanks - have woken up this morning after plastering it with magnesium sulphate and the domed head of it is totally gone now so it obviously did the trick.
