Over the past few months, I’ve noticed intermittent lumps under both of my armpits. It started with one in my right armpit, which disappeared within a week. Then one appeared in my left armpit, also gone within a week. After that, I had two at the same time, one in each armpit and again, they disappeared within a week. Now, overnight, another one has appeared under my left armpit.
They all feel the same: very small (smaller than a pea), moveable, with nothing obvious on the skin itself. When I pinch the skin, they almost disappear, they aren’t fixed underneath and seem to move with the skin. They’re also a little tender and I feel a little stinging before I notice the lumps are there.
The lumps themselves don’t worry me too much in terms of how they feel, but it’s the frequency, having so many in such a short period, that makes me anxious. I initially thought it might be my deodorant, so I changed it, but a new one has still appeared.
I would really appreciate any advice. I’ll admit I have health anxiety, so I tend to jump to the worst-case scenario! I have a GP appointment next week but just checking if anyone has had anything similar. Thanks in advance!
