Hereditary Kidney Problems (not PKD)

Are there any other genetic kidney problems other than polycystic Kidney disease?

PKD runs in my family but I have been scanned several times and don’t have it. However I have low kidney function 50-60s and now my teen daughter also has repeated high creatine blood tests.

Yes there are lots. Speak to your renal consultant to see if they can access genetic testing directly or if they need to refer you to your local clinical genetics clinic.

We don’t have a renal consultant yet, have an appointment with the GP next week so I will have to be patient and see what they say.
