Which Pain Medication?

Does anyone know If a pain medication will help me with my red neck and what might be good to try? I will attach a photograph. It is very painful. I have ibuprofen and Naproxen that do nothing. I am seeing a Dermatologist next week for my skin condition but my red neck hurts so much. Thankyou.

Have you tried an antihistamine? I find fexofenadine or piriton better for rashes/hives than the other types. You didn't mention paracetamol but I assume you've tried that, especially alternating with the ibuprofen to get the maximum relief.

My GP told me to take 2 antihistamines. Yes I've got Paracetamol too. The redness just hurts so much didn't know if any other pain meds might help its just so very sore. Thankyou.

A topical antihistamine may be effective if it is due to allergies etc? Maybe only on unbroken skin. It is called Anthisan.
Or maybe do an 'oat soak'. Soak some oats in hot water until the water is creamy. Use a clean cotton item, soak it up with the creamy oat water and rest it on your neck. The redness and itchiness should subside pretty fast 😊
