Supplements that help

I have arthritis, it doesn’t yet affect daily life. I’ve seen a Dr and a specialist. Specialist said to remain active. He said that whilst he doesn’t think 1supplement suits all, or indeed work, the only ones with any science behind them are ones that contain glucosamine and chondroitin.
I took them for a while but was rubbish as being consistent, so not sure they made much difference, either because they just don’t, or because I didn’t take them for long enough.

I find now that I’m getting more aches and pains, and whilst glad to still be very active, I do want to take something that may help long term. I was going to re start Jointace, but when I googled them an article came up that said a small study had shown glucosamine gave a small increased risk for those with glaucoma in the family. (I note that the word ‘small’ used).
I do have glaucoma in the family (grandparent), so not sure if I’m being over cautious in avoiding them, or sensible.

So my question is, can anyone recommend a good supplement they think has helped with joint stiffness over time?. It’s a minefield when you start looking as every single one is ‘the best’.

Thanks

I had peri menopause joint pain and I can honestly say that taking omega 3 has made a huge difference. I was on cod liver oil, which helped initially, but omega 3 was a game changer.

Thank you, have been looking at Omega 3.

Turmeric/curcumin supplements with black pepper are meant to be good for inflammation and arthritis pain - they’re quite cheap too so maybe worth a try?

Thank you @Pollymollydolly I did take those for some time, but can’t say I noticed much of a difference. Perhaps I should try again
