Struggling with temporary acrylic denture

I have two upper front teeth missing after my ancient bridge has failed. I've had a small root extracted today (which was all that was left of one tooth) and I have a temporary acrylic denture. I intend having an implant.
The denture is clear plastic with 2 fake teeth and slips over my entire upper teeth. However, it seems a tight fit and when I tried it at the dentist's surgery I struggled to remove it! It's really hard to put in and I'm terrified I won't be able to get it out at night or I will break one of my teeth! I'm stuck with this thing for at least 6 weeks. Is there a knack to this? Otherwise, I'll have to wait for the socket to heal and go back to gluing my Maryland bridge in with Polygrip. It also makes me lisp 😂

Crochet hook or the hooks that are used to remove alligners may well help https://www.amazon.co.uk/Aligner-Removal-Retainer-Invisible-Cleaning/dp/B0DLG5BTK8/ref=asc_df_B0DLG5BTK8?th=1
