Title says it all really. Last jabs he had were before he was talking and although I was preparing myself for him to be quite upset, I popped a chocolate button in his mouth as soon as he opened it to wail and he was all smiles.

Obviously now it's different, I've talked to him a couple of times this morning about how the nurse will give him an injection which might sting a bit and that we can have a treat afterwards - don't want to go on about it though as he will probably start to worry if I keep telling him it's going to hurt.

Is there anything else I can do or am I being a wussy mum? Am 35 wks pregnant too so I am likely to cry a bit if he does

Minkus, i can't really offer advice as my dd is only 21 mo, but i did the same as you, mentioned it to her before and told her we'd go to the park afterwards. when she had it ,she screamed 'mumeeeeee' but then i whipped her favourite smoothie out of my bag, and she calmly said, ooh, please mummy!'

i think you've done the right thing to warn him but not go on about it. ggod luck.
