blood clot after sinus surgery, what do I do? Picture attached

I had sinus surgery nearly eight weeks ago. My healing was really smooth and after a few days the only issue I even had was tiredness. I’ve been discharged from ENT.

This morning, I blew my nose because I felt rather congested and had a blood clot and a bit of blood come out. I’ve blown my nose since, and it was just blood tinged mucus, nothing dramatic in terms of bleeding etc.

Do I just chalk this up to a weird delayed healing from a bit of my nose, or should I call my GP to double check?

Was the post op advice that your could blow your nose now? It might have ruptured a small vessel- hence the blood is fresh and not dried up, old, black blood. If the blood is easing, I personally wouldn't be too worried.

You said you've been discharged from ENT, but was there a secretary/nurse number for their team? You could try contacting them. Do you have any further follow up with them or GP?

I wasn’t told when I could or couldn’t blow my nose. I have been since about seven days post op!

im considering my GP but I also don’t know if it’s silly!
