Please help me choose by telling your experience?

If you own a smart watch or fitness band that’s not the size of a scientific calculator - what brand is it, what feature do you enjoy most, are there any other great features and would you recommend it?

If you hate yours please do say why?

Desirable features:—
Compact
charges quickly
changeable band
sedentary alerts
hydration alerts
alarms
heart and blood pressure monitor

Ideally I’d like to move away from fitbits and try something else but keep it affordable (less than £100)

Thanks!

Ah you might struggle with all that on a cheaper watch. I have Apple but that’s because I have an Apple phone so it all seamlessly works n.

@BashfulClam you may have a point there…

I am on my 3rd Amazfit. It looks very like an apple watch, costs under £100.
It measures steps, hr, sleep, sedentary alerts, alarms, timers. You can read messages and answer or reject calls. Battery lasts a week.
I haven't used any of the fancier sports functions but I like it and will get another.

@isitmyturn thanks for this

Mine is an Apple - again because I have an iPhone and it all works together.

I went for the smaller 42mm style but I still think it looks too big on my (tiny) wrists. I would prefer something smaller but I also need my glasses to read the messages on it now so I know I'm being inconsistent there

Garmins are good value

What are your fitness goals and how do you think that a 'smart' watch will help you?

It appears that where fitness is concerned people are finding all sorts of ways to complicate matters that are in essence very simple.

run further
run faster
lift more
etc

I have never needed anything more advanced than a Casio watch with stop watch and interval features.

Edited

There are several benefits I get from my current one
Alarm
step counter

I would like to have
sedentary alerts
hydration alerts
heart monitor
blood pressure monitor
remote control for camera

I’m not complicating fitness I’m simply upgrading my watch but getting more than the standard

Hope that’s ok with you? ☺️

I have a garmin forerunner 55 and more then happy with it as it does what I need it to - accurately maps my hikes, walks and cycling

And it has the bells and whistles I need - step counts, sedentary alerts, heart rate, sleep monitor

Links to my iPhone as well.

Id defo look at Garmin , you can design your own

What is a watch going to tell you about your level of hydration?

@PlaceIntheCloudsYou seem like such a lovely person - thank you for your contributions to this thread ☺️

Hydration alerts. As in reminders to have water more frequently than I do now. Do you understand? Hope so x

I get you now. I do appreciate that some people might need reminders to drink. That sounds very helpful.

😁
