Chest infection or something else?

Does this sound like a chest infection?

Pain and discomfort in chest at top of ribs/under bottom of breast. On one side only (left side)
Dry cough at times but not often.
No mucous or anything.
No other symptoms.

Started with one sharp pain yesterday that I felt faint from, now coming and going all day.

What do you think?

You should get that checked out.

Not sure tbh, you need to go to the. Doctors, they can diagnose a chest infection by listening to your lungs.

I have a gp call booked for later on so will see how that goes. I think the call probably won't be sufficient and I'll have to get checked in person.

Not sure why they bother with those regarding chest infections. Do you have the nhs app? I had a chest infection this year, and messaged the Doctor on the patch's section of nhs app before 8am, they text me back with a same day face to face appointment.
