Tiny blisters on breast?

WheresMyOtherSock · 21/09/2025 11:05

Yesterday morning I woke up with about 4 small blisters on my breast. Today there are more, see pic. They’re small, red and filled with fluid. They’re not causing any irritation.

I did hold a mug of coffee against that area on Friday evening, I was sort of ‘resting’ it against my body as I was stood up, but I had a t shirt on and it didn’t feel
hot, but could they be as a result of this or is it more likely a skin infection/something else?

They're nowhere else on my body!

Shingles maybe?

WheresMyOtherSock · 21/09/2025 13:00

Would they appear in just one small area?

I agree, shingles. And yes, they can appear in just one place. If you can get to a pharmacy today they can give antivirals.

I’ve just had a look on NHS and it mentions some other symptoms such as headaches, shooting pains, upset stomach and I’ve had all of these in the run up to the blisters appearing but thought nothing of it.. I’ll pop to a pharmacy tomorrow as nothing local is open today.

They really need to see you within three days for the antivirals to be effective. The sooner the better. I’d try and get there today if at all possible. And then you’ll need plenty of rest!

I live rurally and there are no open pharmacies nearby today unfortunately..

I drove 40 minutes to a pharmacy, who have confirmed shingles and given me a course of Aciclovir. Thanks for the advice!

Oh I’m glad you did! They’ll be much more effective for starting them as soon as possible. Good luck; it can be miserable.

ClarasSisters · 21/09/2025 19:02

Ah bless you, hope it clears up soon Flowers

Thank you both - they’re starting to hurt this afternoon whereas they didn’t before, and I’m feeling headaches/upset tummy so fairly miserable!
