Dissolvable dental stitches

I had a few molar teeth extracted almost two weeks ago and had dissolvable dental stitches placed in my mouth. Fortunately I've had a really smooth recovery, no infections and everything seems to be healing nicely.

I've had a little of the stitching work its way loose in the last few days but a lot of it still feels pretty solid - there's also one knot that is a bit uncomfortable. The dentist told me that the stitches would start to dissolve after a week but never gave me a timeframe to expect them to be all gone. I'm really hopeful it's not too much longer as that particular knot is annoying!

How long did it take for your stitches to dissolve?

I'm afraid I pulled mine out as soon as they loosened when I had jaw surgery, but then I'm a very impatient person and it was only a small cut.
