Anyone experience with elevated hematocrit and possibly falsely elevated hemoglobin?
I am trying to understand my blood test results.
My hb is higher than its ever been and my hematocrit is 0.47 (reference range is 0.36-0.46)
Probably a little dehydrated when i had blood taken late morning (had a busy morning and only half a cup of coffee and a few sips of water)
What i find weird is that i have just been bleeding for 3 Weeks straight (started a progestin only pill) so having a high Hb was very surprising!
Will talk to gp about it (probably will make me repeat bloods) but as I have HA I was hoping someone can reassure me a little.
