Could antibiotics be behind this?

I’ve recently taken three course of antibiotics for various reasons: amoxicillin, metronidazole and clarithromycin.

since then I have had thrush, a weird coating on my tongue, an ear infection which a swab has revealed is fungal, and strange skin rashes. I tried putting some clotrimazole on a patch of the rag and it seems to have fared slightly so I wonder if the rash is fungal too.

inhave also been very run down recently as I had a significant bereavement earlier this year which has traumatised me really and I am still grieving and recovering.

could the antibiotics plus being run down have caused fungal things to flare up? Or is there something else going on?

yes it is likely that the antibiotics have caused the thrush. Treat as normal with antifungals but also take probiotics, live yoghurt etc anything with live cultures.
The problem with antibiotics is they kill good bacteria as well as bad so obviously if you need them they’re essential but it’s always a good idea to take probiotics for a few weeks afterwards

Ok thank you. I have got some probiotics but just from Aldi so not sure if they are very good quality
