Has anyone ever had sudden bowel issues?

Bowel movements haven't changed, but my gut, omg. For some reason I get trapped wind now almost every day, like I just can't get it out. I want to burp and fart, a lot. I now cannot tolerate fizzy drinks so have stopped drinking them entirely (thankfully they were only ever a treat!). No pain, just mega trapped wind and so sensitive to gassy foods. I've been like this for least 6 weeks now. I'm relatively healthy, a bit overweight with a BMI of 26.5 (ISH). Healthy diet, but not enough exercise which I'm changing as of Monday. Anyone got any trapped wind solutions?

I had sudden acid reflux and severe bloating, need the loo more, etc…. Turned out it was my thyroid & it had gone overactive…..

My thyroid function is normal thankfully. It's usually after I eat! I've tried eating slower. Cutting out gassy foods. Nothing works. Just bloated all the time. Feel totally fine in the morning and then by the end of the day feel like a balloon.

It’s advised to see your GP if you have had a sudden onset of bloating that has lasted for over 3 weeks. It’s likely nothing major, but it’s best to get checked. Make sure you mention all the steps you have taken so far to try to remedy the problem. You could also speak to a pharmacist in the mean time to see if they can offer you anything to try.
