Mid 30's started getting panic attacks on the train commuting to work. I think that might have been related to peri but not 100% sure. Then first hot flush at 48, 49. Periods stopped completely after 2 or 3 very scant ones. Still having them occasionally 10 years later! But they come for a few weeks then disappear again. Although I seem to have one every morning after my first mug of tea. I don't know why!

At its worst I would have nights of almost continuous hot flushes and get next to no sleep. I took betablockers which helped. I happened to have them for something else but I thought they would help with the adrenal spurt that I got when the hot flush would start. People don't believe me but I could feel it squirting out of my adrenal glands!

I tried all the natural remedies, none helped. I decided to ride it out and not go on HRT which I don't regret.

41 with a fibroid, periods were all over the place. An awful feeling in the pelvic area which no one in 2 years was accepting happening,

got rid of the fibroid and now at 43 have periods every 4 weeks on time. No HRT/the pill. Anymore, No horrible fibroid feeling the medics dissed for 2 years plus,

They even went as far as putting the coil in when no gynaecologist reason was found, I had it taken out within. 6 months. It was the happiest day of my life when it came out far from the general it was put in under.

i saw a GP in March for a uti who just insisted on upping HRT rather then treating uti so from them I said stick HRT up the bum hole.

I am not allowed to dis trust professionals.
