Hi everyone

47 years old, peri.

I have been on the POP for 5 months now, recommend by GP to help with migraine that I have had since a teen (in addition to amitriptyline).

Zelleta 75micrograms Desogesterl

I haven't really noticed much difference to my migraine to be honest, still get them.

Also, haven't had a proper period now for 4 months and so I don't know where I am in my cycle which makes things trickier as for example I knew to avoid alcohol during and just before/after my period as that would induce a migraine, but other times of the month I would be fine. Now, I don't know when that is, so it is pot luck if a I have a glass of something. Had a beer last night and in a lot of pain today.

I also feel my anxiety and general mental health have taken a bit of a nose dive.

Finally, there is the PMT feeling that I seem to have a lot of the time but no period comes...

So, I'm thinking time to come off it.

If you have a POP experience to share for migraine I'd love to hear it! Did it work for you?

Yes I tried POP several different brands to try and cope with both contraception and migraines. It didn’t work! What happened for me was that instead of getting a full on migraine say once a week, I got a mini one with aura daily. I was constantly dizzy and nauseous and in the end gave up on any kind of contraception and that is finally when my migraines finally eased up.

Amazing to hear your migraines have ceased @Lillygolightly !!

I have tried a long spell without any contraception but unfortunately didn't help my migraines...
