So I know it will be just general advice, and I have been to the doctors a few times. Just wanting to know if anyone has experienced the following.
My youngest is now 2 years old, we're still breastfeeding and showing no signs of stopping yet. I'm trying to let her lead the way and stop herself but she is a boob monster! My periods came back when she was 10 months old, they are very irregular but they were before I had my 2 children (PCOS). However, I am bleeding for several months at a time and then nothing for several months until the next bleed. It's usually a mixture of bleeds, so light pink and usually on wiping, then red and dark red and having to wear pads. I've been bleeding since June, with maybe a day or 2 without anything. I've spoken to my doctors about it and had blood tests, their only solution was to take the pill and have a bleed on the week off. It's not something I would like to do as I was put on hormonal contraception at 14 and been on it most of my life. I opted for a copper coil about 10 years ago, had it out when TTC and then back in last year. I've had blood tests and nothing showing as out of the ordinary and no pain really, just mild cramping on and off for the duration. The doctors then asked if I was breastfeeding and I said I am and they said that it's probably just due to this, it just seems like they don't know what to do and just blame my weight and breastfeeding. I am in the process of losing weight, I lost 4.5 stone before TTC my children so I know I can do it, but just lacking motivation at the moment 😞.
Anyone had a similar and it sorted once stopping breastfeeding?
