Im on medication for mine i take loperamide. It doesnt always work but it helps, whatever I eat just seems to go straight through me. I was really unwell before i started taking it went down to 6 stone - now back to a healthy weight but still have to rush to the loo 1/2 times a day!

Yes, I have IBS-D and often go a few times in the morning. It’s usually spaced out over an hour so getting out of the house quickly is a challenge! Is that happening to you?

But that to me is more manageable than when I have a flare up and that can happen at any time of day, usually as a reaction to something I have eaten. I tried the low FODMAP diet which was tough but helped me identify trigger foods. I never really resolved things in the mornings though.

Mines usually worse in the afternoon. Especially if I haven’t eaten properly. I dusted not eat from 5pm - 2pm the next afternoon when I was working, can’t do that now so eat something small in the morning and then have lunch and that helps a lot.

I get IBS 24 hours after a stressful incident. The pain is so bad I scream and once loosened the bathroom l towel rail off yhe wall with griping it. I cannot take anything as the onset is so quick.

My gp prescribed Mebeverine Tablets. I take one 3 times a, before a meal, and it really helps to stop the tummy cramps and the running to the loo...when im home, I don't take them as I prefer to get everything out to reduce the bloated look
