Will this just heal by itself?

Background, cut foot three days ago on a broken toy in the kids room, fun 🙃 didn't bleed a lot. But it is incredibly sore, I can't walk on foot very well. It looks open maybe a bit deep but equally not infected and isn't bleeding etc. You'll have to excuse the sock fluff 😅

It looks like it’s healing well, so unless you think there’s anything in the cut. I would keep it covered with a waterproof plaster so you don’t get water in it. Then cushion it with a few socks.

I would wash it well and get the fluff off it, dry it carefully (warm hairdryer), and put a Hydrocolloid dressing on.
