For a few years I have had days where I feel hugely head heavy. My head feels like it's about to either implode or explode at the same time, usually from the centre along the nose line. My neck feels hot and cold at the same time. My eyes feel like they are encased in lead. Top of my head feels like a pancake of a headache that won't shift. I feel sick when I stand, move. Also out of breath and everything feels so hard to do. Brain also feels like it's off on a jolly and the headache makes it hard to remember words, do simple tasks. I also see little flickers in the corners of my eyes, many times thinking something (mouse/spider) was on the floor just out of vision. This coincides with my eyes feeling like they are "jumping" a bit and finding it hard to focus with zoning in and out a little. I have ringing in my ears, high pitched and vertigo but can walk if I have to.
In the last year these have been coming more frequently and now I see the pattern that they start just before my period and go in a few days, then usually stop alongside the period. It's been quite alarming as I now feel I often need to be in a dark room, my emotions are very irrational at this point largely because I feel so sick and unable to process much. I'm currently on day 5 of one which began 2 days before my period and I am forcing myself to have some food, despite feeling like I just want to stay in my dark room. I have so much I need to do but getting up causes me to feel so bad I have to lie down again.
I have always assumed these were migraines as my grandma suffered and used to have to lie down every day after lunch. I am seeing the Dr tomorrow for the first time about this as they are really impacting my life now. Does anyone have advice or help with the pain? Nuerofen migraine takes the pain out of the head but the rest is still there.
