Petechiae from blood pressure cuff?

I’m awaiting a blood test this week for easy bruising and breathlessness, doctor thinks I have low iron again.
I had an unrelated appointment today and had my blood pressure taken and the cuff has left my arm with small bleeds under the skin.
I am really really worried now that there’s actually something wrong with me. Does anyone else get this? Should I go back to the GP tomorrow to see if my bloods can be done sooner?
Thanks all.

It happens sometimes.

Not something to get worried about.

I had this when I had pernicious anaemia. Pain the arse but not serious. Two medical appointments in a week is a bit unusual, do you think it’s caused you to get more panicked than you usually would because you’re spending considerable time within a healthcare setting in the space of only a few days?

I had my initial appointment with the gp last week, then a few week wait for my blood test. Unfortunately this weekend I developed mastitis so had to go to the out of hours doctor: i definitely feel abit worked up tbh, been having alot of bruising and this constant feeling of my test being tight, just feel abit worried!

That’s totally fair enough and I am so sorry that you’re having a rough time of it. But from where I’ve been I recognise that bruising as a symptom of low iron - sounds weird to say that I hope it’s the same for you (!) but I do because it’s minor and easily treated. Sending you lots of good vibes - try and get an early night and get cosy with a favourite film or book. X

PS. Tell me about your ink - I am intrigued (I have four tattoos!)

This is my arm tonight from blood pressure cuff doing my BP last night. Happens very often. Nothing wrong with me (except borderline high BP!)

It could be the low iron but it could also just be one of them things, I bruise easily and BP monitors always cause me to have the little red dots, I don’t think you need to rush to get a sooner appt
