Nose piercing

I had my nose pierced at a reputable place in 2022 and had it for less than a year before I decided to take it out. It was really painful when they pierced it and it hurt like a B every single time I had to clean it.

Anyway, I had it re pierced at Claire’s a week ago (I know, I know). Terrible decision? Maybe. BUT, it has been such a better experience than the first time. It hardly hurt when she did it, and honestly there’s been zero pain since. No crusty stuff when I clean it like there was the first time (for months) and it just doesn’t hurt at all.

However they did use an arrowhead type bar to pierce it, meaning there’s a super sharp thing just chillin in the inside of my nose. When I clean it I have to hold it to stop the bar slipping right out. So my question is, would I ruin the whole zero pain thing and irritate the piercing, cause an infection etc if I switched the jewellery to something that seems a bit safer? As I said I think it’ll come right out no problem, and I’m scared I’ll knock the piercing and get the inside of my nose stabbed with the current jewellery. I’m pretty confident I could easily get a new bar in with no problem, and I would then just leave it with that jewellery. Thoughts?

Sounds like your new piercing has been done much better than the first one. Definitely change it if it's sharp, just be sure to get one that's the best size for you
