Should I go to Dr about this?

I broke my ankle 15 months ago, and it's still painful. I can walk and it doesn't stop me doing much day to day, but there's always at least some pain when I walk, and if I've had a busy day I'm often in quite a bit of pain and limping by tea time. I'm not able to run without it being very uncomfortable, and walking distance is a much bigger consideration when making plans then it was before.

I broke both bones at once so required surgery to pin it back in place. It took about 3 months to get back to walking without crutches or a boot. At that time physio were happy with progress and said pain would decrease in time, but it hasn't as much as I would hope.

Has it maybe not healed quite right, and if so is there anything they can even do at this stage? Or is this normal and I just need to accept this is how it's going to be?

I reckon physio is your first port of call. The physio at our practice can prescribe and refer on to Orthopaedic if necessary. Sorry it still hurts!
