What is this sensation all over my skin?

For the last 3 months I have had what feels like achy pins and needles anywhere from my feet to
my arms. Today it feels like it’s all over my bum cheeks and in my bum hole!

I’ve been to the drs twice, multiple blood tests and on my last visit she just blankly looked at me and said “I don’t know what it is”.

It’s such a strange feeling, not to touch, but it feels like my nerves are on overdrive under my skin? Kind of like the skin pain when you have the flu.

any ideas?

I hope so too! I’m lying here and hating it because it’s still weird down one side.
its really prominent when I’m lying down and breathing in and out when there’s loose fabric on me!
I can’t remember if I said I was prescribed amitriptyline to help the nerve pain? It’s been a while now and it hasn’t changed anything

Oh really? Maybe one of the other meds like pregabalin might be better ? I’m grateful that I’ve had a few weeks symptom free, because that shows that there is something “active” in my immune system that’s either causing or preventing this sensation.

Hopefully I’ll continue to get better, and hopefully it is the lysine that’s helping! Have you ordered some?

Hi OP @tinkersfig

I just found this thread as I did a search as I have similar symptoms.

How are you now?

@SpicyInTheClouds it’s 96% gone. I get the odd twinge every few days, but nothing like it was. It was a solid 8 months of hell!

where on your body are you feeling it?

It was on my thigh for 2-3 weeks but has settled now.

Just found this thread again! I still have the twinges but nowhere near as much as before, I have been taking lysine!
plus another supplement called ultra neuropathy, I don’t know how I found it but it’s on Amazon and lots of people rated it for phn, so I’ve been taking that.
And started using an led red light pad for other pain relief but decided to try it on my midriff as it had some reviews for helping too, so I’m not sure what’s working or if it’s just time healing?
im concerned about what happens if / when I stop using all the stuff, will it come back or once it’s gone is it gone?
am considering saving up to get the vaccine privately as ‘too young’ by NHS standards, it’s a hell of a lot of money but I really don’t want to risk it again if it does go away.

The lysine definitely did something because I’m pretty much back to normal!
