Hello lovely ladies, hope you're well. Interested to see your stories on peri menopause with your symptoms, ages etc please. Anyone fobbed off by being told you're too young or it's just anxiety? I have bad anxiety, few vitamin deficiencies but am also 36 and experiencing alot of issues/symptoms and periods are also changing in ways, which I now wonder if it could possibly be peri or a mixture of things.

Hi, about to turn 40. Been feeling weird for a while, much more moody, periods all over the place, exhausted. Got fobbed off and told I was too young and more frequent periods

Woodworm2020 · 27/08/2025 22:37

Sorry … posted too early - was told more frequent periods couldn’t be perimenopause. Just seen a new doctor who thinks it absolutely is perimenopause 🤷🏼‍♀️
Symptoms - really tired in the two weeks running up to period (like having to take a nap during the day), moody, periods more frequent and heavier. I just feel different.
Have you been fobbed off then OP?

Ask your mother, aunt or grandmother how old they were when they started 'the change'. Your age at the start of the menopause tends to run in families, so if any of them started early, then go back to your GP with that information and ask for further investigation.
