Just googled it and can't find any info on whether it's ok or not.

Just bathed DD3 and her BCG which had started to crust over a bit (normal I know) had a bit of a head on it. Was washing her when I noticed pale green 'stuff' oozing out of it and down her arm. There was quite a lot of it. I gently washed it away and it was soon replaced with more.

I've left it, not no oozing, and dressed her and am not overly concerned but don't remember her sisters doing this.

Is it all totally expected and normal?

Hello lovely, I think it is normal, don't worry. Not everyone has it but lots of people do.

I had a dreadful time with mine, TC, and I think it did ooze but I don't remember it being green. Trip to the doc on Mon? (Unless she seems in a lot of pain from it, in which case sooner)

Hi girls

She seems fine. Bit more clingy perhaps but she has another tooth cutting and learnt to crawl yesterday so keeps getting stuck in corners and frustrated (so cute!). Otherwise she's her usual lovely self.

Ohhhh do I have to go the GPs??? Loathe trips there if they aren't really needed.

Its quite normal for a BCG to ooze TC until it completely heals over ( this can take months btw).

Thomcat · 30/05/2008 16:24

Oh nice, something to look forward to then!!!
Thanks. Thought it was probably ok but nice to know for sure, thank you.

if it continues to ooze, put some dry dressing over it to draw the ooze out ( not a plaster though).

My TB site oozed (green and yellow gunk), scabbed over, oozed, scabbed over for well over a month before it healed.

Oh smashing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DP will so not be able to deal with bathing her now, he can't do 'gunk'!!!!!!
