My son is 12 and doesn't have very good oral hygiene. Dentist is always saying can be better. Any magic tips for encouraging him to actually brush his teeth & not lie about it etc?! My 15 yr old daughter has really good teeth.

I would brush them for him in the evening, as that is the most important time. Failing that, get an electric toothbrush, so yhe brushing he does do is more effective.

Teeth brushing is just a non negotiable in my home. Even with my 13.5 year old son, I check his teeth still and if they aren’t the best I get him to do again and then I will do them. But that is quite the rarity now, he’s really good with his overall hygiene luckily!
