Really annoying stye

I got a stye under my upper eyelid a couple of weeks ago. It was very scratchy on my eyeball and I did the warm flannel/compress thing. It came to a head and some pus came out (sorry!) but it recrusted over and it's still annoying although it has gone down quite a lot itself - eye is weeping a bit (just tears, not pus!) and it's a bit blurry and still a bit painful. I expect I will go to the pharmacist tmw after work if it's still bad, but not sure if there are drops or I'll have to go the GP which I really cba with as I have a season ticket there for so many issues!

Anyone experienced a stubborn stye? What did you do?

I can empathise. When I once had a stubborn stye I ended up on antibiotics for something else and they cured it quickly. A bit of a heavy handed solution though.

@Greysowhat- thanks. It’s a bit better now - think it’s just gonna take ages to go properly. I’ve got to pick up a prescription for my regular meds this week so may ask the pharmacist to take a Quick Look.
