Anal Fissure Botox

Hi, just wondered if anybody had any similar experiences with Anal Fissure Botox. I had the Botox done and all seemed good, little pain or bleeding however I did feel that I wasn’t feeling the ‘urge’ to have a wee. Then I began to develop quite bad lower back pain and numbness which gradually got worse until a week after the procedure when I had my first episode of urine incontince. This has progressively got more frequent (however the back pain is completely gone) and I am still having multiple episodes of incontince a little over three weeks on. I am still waiting to see the surgeon for a follow up but wondered if anybody had any similar experiences or advice?
thanks in advance😊

Not much help but DH had Botox a couple of years ago and no problems since, I know they said it could take months for Botox to take effect and for the fissure to disappear completely. Perhaps as the fissure is probably larger than before, it’s putting pressure on, I would ring GP to check if what you are experiencing is normal.

Is It possible that the two aren’t related? It might be an idea to contact 111 and ask for advice, as back pain and incontince are sometimes signs of cauda equina syndrome. I’d think it probably is just side effects of your treatment, but it’s better to check to be on the safe side.
