Vaping

My little vape has a puff count on it. By the end of the day its usually just topped 100 puffs.

After Googling this, it says 100 puffs is equivelent to around ten cigarettes - ten puffs = one cigarette.

I've never smoked before, so i don't know if this is a crazy amount or average. Could anybody offer any advice as to how many you may have and if this is normal or not?

Why would you? I don’t smoke or vspe. My normal is nil.

Springadorable · 14/08/2025 22:44

As above. Normal is no puffs. Just don't.

Whilst vaping is harmful, I don't think saying just don't is helpful. Go to your GP ask for a referral to the smoking and vaping cessation services they have good advice on slowly stopping vaping and how to do so and therapy and low level CBT as well to change your life structure and help you do so. So I'd look I that and slowly start to change your habits.

Can I ask why you vape if you’ve never smoked? DH and I both vape a bit just in the evenings but we were both long time smokers and both stopped cold turkey when I got pregnant. Vaping scratchs the itch a bit that’s because we were both addicted to smoking. I can’t imagine picking up vaping as a hobby if we hadn’t smoked beforehand.

I can't get my head around people who have never smoked, vaping! Makes absolutely no sense to me!

My daughter, 21, was just released from hospital after suffering a collapsed lung. The doctor said the only likely cause was vaping as she’s otherwise entirely healthy. She spent a week having test after test and in excruciating pain while they tried to work out where the hole was that was filling her chest with air.

if you can, please consider giving up.
