I have a large round scar on my upper ankle from skidding along the ground and taking the skin off it when I was 14. It’s hardly visible now, mainly just a tough patch of discoloured skin (I’ve circled it in case it’s hard to see, it’s usually a purply colour when I haven’t got a bit of a tan, currently a bruised sort of colour).
In the last 6 months or so I’ve developed weird bumps perfectly surrounding the scar. They’re not itchy, they just feel like tough skin too. What would cause these bumpy raised scar edges after all this time? (I’m 30 now)
