Anyone else suffering from this heavy cold /respiratory thing? I can't shake it off.
Started with a really sore throat just under 3 weeks ago, which developed into a heavy cold, then went on my chest. My asthma flared up so I took a 5 day course of steroids ( rescue pack as prescribed by gp). Asthma symptoms are ok; but still bunged up with catarrh and a phlegmy cough. Contacted GP to let them know I had taken the emergency steroids and was prescribed another rescue pack to keep at home. I won't start these unless my asthma flares up again, but in the meantime the phlegmy cough is driving me mad, although I am able to sleep through the night now. Just feel exhausted all the time, using cough sweets, cough medicine, saline nasal spray, drinking hot drinks and taking vitamin C & D.
Anyone else had this wretched thing, and know how long it's going to last?! I don't want to take antibiotics if I don't need them, but I'm tired of feeling like this.
