Hi, has anyone had a bladder installation as a treatment for interstitial cystitis? Have to say I'm very nervous to have this done.

If you had it, did it hurt and did it make any difference to you? Thanks

Hi yes, I had a similar experience. With my third injection, I developed another infection, so the doctor stoped the treatment. Unfortunately, it didn’t help.

I do self catheters every 2 days along with the “Payne cocktail”. I use 30ml bupivacaine with 1ml heparin. Most days it takes the edge off. Sometimes I could almost do another in the same day. If I go 3 days, I’m in trouble. But the relief is wonderful when everything goes good. I also take prelief that I bought on Amazon. That is amazing at cutting the acid/bad stuff from naughty things that I eat or drink. (I love my carbonated water). Also there’s acid free coffee that is drinkable. Good luck and I hope it helps!

Yes I had the treatment but it didn’t make much difference. I was surprised at how easy it felt to have it done, I felt very nervous for the first one but no others after that as it felt so insignificant as to what I felt IYSWIM.
