DD says she has a headache

Is feeling dizzy and she has a temperature.
I have give her calpol about 1/2 hour ago but temp not come down.
What could be wrong?

Give the Calpol a little more time to work - I generally find it takes more than half an hour. Remember that she can have ibuprofen as well, and that often reduces temperature more quickly.

It might just be a bug; they often come with headaches and dizziness. Keep an eye on her, see how she is later on once the Calpol has had time to take effect.

You can reduce her temperature by sponging her down - tepid water, not cold. Taking her outside can cool her down too.

She has only just started to actually tell me what is wrong so it is a bit disconcerting, she is curled up watching tv and I think it probably is just a bug. will take her temp again in 10mins and give her ibuprofen if it hasn't come down.
