Unexplained pain that started at ovulation

Hi all, I have been experiencing INTENSE pain which lasted the whole ovulation week. It was extremely bad the day before, ovulation day itself and the day after. In total it was 7 days, but today is the 8th day and I have mild pain. I also noticed lower back pain that really hurts today and my stools are way softer than usual.

I also had diarrhoea and stomach pain about 2 weeks ago. There is no bleeding or anything. My period is regular but I have noticed they are a lot lighter than before.

I initially thought the abdominal pain was due to a uti, but tested with strips at home and it came negative on two different days. I'm really worried it may be cervical cancer. I never had a pap smear test before because I kept putting it off. Can anyone offer any advice regarding what is causing this?

Oh just to add I started having ovulation pains for the past 8 to 9 months, it would be quite painful but only last 2 or 3 hours, never like this continuous pain for days on end. Feeling really worried 🙁

Well book your smear for a start, it's an easy way to potentially save your life.

Go see your GP - I had an ovarian cyst that was like this for about 18 months before I had it removed.

My GP was bemused that I'd tolerated this for so long, but I'd vaguely thought, 'Oh, it hurts when I ovulate now' without wondering much further why.
