Hi everyone.
im absolutely not expecting any answers. I’m just needing to vent!
im waiting for an MRI of my lower spine. Was referred urgently on the 2ww for suspected cancer.
It’s been a complete shambles as the GP messed up the referral. I’ve had to chase it to get it sorted.
My MRI appt is on Friday which will be just over 5 weeks from my GP appointment.

it’s not just a lump, I have many other symptoms like pain worse at night, and heat form lump area, it’s keeping me up at night. Shooting pains in leg and also other places, feeling bruised on arms, bottom and neck. No appetite, weight loss. Loss of balance and legs sometimes feel unsteady. Difficulty emptying bladder… the list goes on.
some days are really bad, some not so bad.
my head is all over the place.
i have a tumour on the opposite side of this one I’ve recently found. It is on my kidney and is benign i was discharged 2 yrs ago as it hadn’t grown or caused me problems.
I’m just worried sick as this new one is causing so many probs and can’t stop thinking about what’s going on.
Anyone else had to wait so long!!

I had to practically stand over the medical secretary whilst she did the referral because she'd "forgotten" to do it for my 2ww.

Remember the vast majority of 2ww don't find cancer. Hopefully, that will be the case for you and you can then get to the root of the problem.

Best of luck.

Thanks for replying. It’s just infuriating!! Years ago I found a breast lump and it was a swift referal!!
because it’s my spine and not as common they just wanted to send me off with naproxen 🙄
