Salivary gland issues

Has anybody else experienced a lump in their salivary gland right hand side? I don’t think it’s cancer or anything more likely a stone or node that’s gone AWHOL? Once been referred but that was 3 weeks ago and still no phone call. Anybody experienced anything similar?

Hello!

I had a blocked salivary gland about a year ago. It was a small lump under my tongue. Initially it caused me to salivate excessively and then caused me to have a very dry mouth. I saw a GP and a specialist about it. What they recommended was sucking on sour hard sweets - something like a lemon sour - to get the saliva going and also the sucking helps to unblock the gland. After about a week it worked and I’ve never had the issue since.

It’s worth trying this while you wait for your appointment, and it might resolve the matter! Good luck! It’s annoying and can be sore, so I hope you’re not too uncomfortable.

I had this a few years ago and would get a lump on my neck that would swell up randomly. It went away by itself after a few weeks and I've never had it again. 🤷‍♀️

Weird isn’t it. I did have it about ten years ago. Maybe longer I can’t fathom time anymore I don’t feel old enough to say that ha. But yeah the calcium stones did come out and it was a big blockage. It’s just the remaining chick
oea sized lump in the gland right at the back of my mouth fortune beyond and under wisdom teeth that’s making me feel uneasy. It sort of moves which is why I don’t think it’s anything horrific, but I do t know if it’s scarring from the blockage or a big stone that’s stuck . It’s just a bit bizarre
