Dental question

What would you do about this? I had a toothache and went to the dentist and they told me I needed a root canal. Went to have the root canal and the tooth has fractured so it needs to be extracted. The dentist said it should be done as soon as possible. It has not hurt since May but I know it could do any day now. I have the extraction booked in for Tuesday. Here is my problem- I fly on holiday on Friday evening. Would you go ahead with the extraction on Tuesday or would you risk it and wait until you returned from holiday. I am in two minds with what to do. Thanks!

Go on Tuesday. It would be so much worse if it flared up on holiday.

Thanks- that’s the kind of level headed talking I need!!

Definitely go on Tuesday as toothache is horrific and not something you want flaring up on holiday. Just be really careful afterwards so you don’t risk infection or dry socket as that can be grim too.

Just be careful. Don’t drink through a straw, the sucking can cause the blood clot to come out. Salt water mouthwashes, warm, gentle. Obviously eat the other side.
