Pooing blood

Hi all

I spent 12 hours in a&e yesterday with severe abdominal pains. It came in waves and I needed morphine. They did a CT scan which showed some free fluid in my pelvis and a kidney stone but otherwise it was OK. They sent me to see gyne who said it's unlikely gyne related. So none the wiser I was sent home and told to come back if the pain came back with the same intensity.

This afternoon though I have started pooing blood. Bright red mucasy blood. The pain is not as severe though now, weirdly!

I am currently waiting for 111 to call me back as I really can't face another 12 hours in a&e if I don't have to.

Any ideas on what could be causing this?! I thought maybe IBD but everything was fine on the CT!

You will probably need a colonosapy to look at your bowels

You need a colonoscopy

Could be Campylobacter.

go to gp on Monday. They will likely do a stool test and go from there.
