Having been pretty much pregnant or breastfeeding for the past 6 years I have not had to deal with this. However it is now back with a vengeance and although it is only one week a month it is not fair on DH and kids, I am so irritable, tearful and irrational it is untrue.

Anyone any tips on anything that might help. I know we all suffer this but I want to try to help myself. Any advice, alternative remedies etc welcome. Does Oil of Evening Primrose actually work? What dosage? That sort of thing. Thanks anyone who answers.

i take

evening primrose
vitamin B1 (this REALLY helps a LOT)
also a magnesium and calcium supplement

the EP and vit B1 helped me a lot, then someone recommended the Mb and Ca supp, that took the edge off

I already take a womans multi vitamin from Boots. Do you take your supplements alongside a multivitamin? Do you take them everyday or just around PMT time. Thanks nailpolish.

i dont take a multivitamin

you ahve to take all the things i mentioned every day

and you may not notice the benefits for around 6 weeks, but persevere

if your multivitamin contains the max daily dose for B1, Mg and Ca then dont take any more. it can be harmful apparently if you take too much

the woman in holland and barratt recently recommended starflower supplements to me - apparently is like evening primrose but more concentrated
